Open to all Kids Korps Members ages 6 – 12 years
Kids Korps USA’s Youth Volunteer Summer Camp gives children the opportunity
to make a difference in their community through participation in volunteer
projects. Campers will experience the joy of giving back to their community
and improving the lives of those in need.
Kids Korps USA 6th Annual Youth Volunteer Summer Camps 2010
The popularity of five previous summer camps has encouraged Kids Korps USA
to expand its Youth Volunteer Summer Camp. Held at the Rancho Santa Fe
Community Center, and the La Colonia Community Center in Solana Beach,
week-long sessions for area children, ages 6 – 11, will take place during
the months of July. In addition this summer, Kids Korps will again offer a
volunteer camp in Solana Beach, at the La Colonia Community Center, for
low-income children of Eden Gardens and other low-income areas of San Diego,
partially sponsored by the City of Solana Beach.

Teen Leaders Wanted for Summer Camps
This is a great chance to be a camp counselor with a new twist…helping young children learn to love volunteering! Counselors will be buddied up with 2-3 campers for the week as we visit various agencies (via bus) and teach them all about community service through hands-on opportunities. The program capacity per week is 25 youth campers and 15 Teen Korps Camp Counselors. Counselors are chosen on the merits of their community service
accomplishments. They are then trained in a 3-hour leadership course which
includes team building, mentorship and risk management.
