Students from Earl Warren Middle School’s Teen Korps Chapter recently partnered with the Solana Beach Library to host a Book Drive benefiting the Twenedrase Community Library in Ghana, where they currently do not have a library at all. The new Twenedrase library will serve the general community and the K-8^th grade students in the local school. The book drive, which ran through April at the Solana Beach Library, was a huge success, and the team of Teen Korps students, parent and Library volunteers collected and packed 15 BOXES, including well over 1000 BOOKS and other educational materials. Batiquitos Lagoon Nature Center: Learn about the eco-system and the natural habitat of this beautiful coastal wetland. Remove invasive plants and trash from this sensitive salt marsh habitat and ecological reserve.

Give 12 Planning Committee–JOIN US!

Kids Korps is currently recruiting Teen (12-18) and adult “Give 12” Planning Committee Members to assist with the monthly event planning of our Give 12 projects (sign up for the year-long committee, or help plan the specific monthly projects that thematically match your interests!). YOU will be empowered to prioritize community issues, select recipient agencies, and help plan and implement each monthly event!

Meetings: 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month

Cost per Camp:

Campers: $250.00 if paid by check, and $258.00 if paid by credit card.

Teen Counselors: Application Fee is $60 (per camp) if paid by check or $63 if paid by credit card; Please add $15 for Teen Korps T-Shirts (required to be worn by counselors each day of the camp).

*Please Note: Each participant must be a current Kids Korps USA member

*A minimum of 12 campers per camp is needed to insure each session.

Campers will experience the joy of giving back to their community and improving the lives of those in need. School buses will take us on a new adventure every day for fun and meaningful experiences, from serving the homeless, training therapy dogs, packing food at the Feeding America, Bingo games with lonely seniors, and canyon/beach clean ups!

Notes for Teen/College Counselors:

You must be a current high school or college student and available the entire week you register for from 8:30am-1:30pm. Additionally, counselors are required to attend a Mandatory Camp Training from 7am-8:30am the first Monday of their assigned week of camp(s).
